Description
This page is decorated with newspaper clippings from the 1910 University of Michigan Wolverines football team in a fierce match played against Cornell University. The team was recognized as national champion by the Billingsley Report and western champion by contemporary observers. Playing under newly reformed rules that encouraged a more open style of football, the Wolverines' defense was strong. In fact, they never allowed a touchdown all season, shutting out their final three opponents while giving up an average of just 1.5 points per game.
