A photograph of Colonel Claude S. Buchanan posing outside on a residential street in an Army Air Force uniform. Col. Buchanan notably worked on the McCoy Air Force Base in Orlando, Florida, after the height of World War II. He transferred to the 14th Air Force in Orlando in January of 1949, first handling technical inspection and then becoming the Director of Military Personnel and Procurement.
